Correct me if I'm wrong but haven't I read somewhere that a lot of studios prefer Alexa because of ProRes? Or at least that was the excuse. I think it's brilliant.

But is the 1TB MM gong to set us all back $5K? Good grief… or maybe just grief.

For editing proxies it's awesome, but I'm not sure why I would use it when I have r3d's with more data in similar or less file size.

Can it be that nobody has repeated this yet?

Air ejection on top and tool-less monitor without wires. Someone on FB said it looks like the monitor reads 8k... and it is difficult to say that it doesn't.

Does it look like the body may be near 3" deep or is it my eyes?

That's a strong candidate for DC3 on the screen (as viewed on my phone, anyway). I'm going with 6K because the 6 looks the same as it does in 5600k but slightly different than what looks like an 8 in 8:1 to me.

I'm guessing the monitor has a set of contacts on the bottom and Cam has same on top, converter plug will go onto same contacts on the cam. More interesting is the power source at the backend what battery is that? Awesome body form to go into a housing hopefully the monitor plug has a nice low flat form.
