  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

OSEE Monitor Group Buy - New Kits!!

You are getting (2) battery plates and the D-tap cable instead of shipping refund (which actually you're saving more money). Osee took a major hit with this group buy and the 7"...so I'm thankful for what they have offered us.

Will be testing more, but it's pretty good when Thom brought the prototype out a while back. Haven't taken it outside yet (been slammed with other stuff), but will try and post a pict or 2 tomorrow for the daylight visibility. The cool thing is that the brightness is set as a hot-key, so you can quickly adjust. I didn't notice colors to go out the window either with the high brightness, which is GREAT!!!

Regarding the Vaxis, honestly, the Vaxis - to me, blows away the competition. It never cuts out, is rock solid, and for the price, it beats everyone. It's what I've been using for a while now and haven't looked back. They have the 1000 foot version as well, which is smaller/lighter. I think they even have a 500 foot version (haven't used that one though)

thanks man

Ah makes sense. And I completely agree, that's an awesome deal. Thanks again!

Did a very quick test/comparison for anyone interested in seeing how the Osee HCM-700 holds up in Direct daylight compared to the RED 7" Touch
Sunlight was reading around ~3600 Fc on the lightmeter.

Just received my 7" today. stoked. the build quality is legit. I didn't see on the website where you could order a v mount battery back for it. just seeing if that was possible. (just incase I use as field director monitor)

Awesome. Was that in high bright mode?

Also will email them but one nice firmware addition would be to be able to adjust opacity of frame guides.

I will post an image tomorrow if the Sun is out and, I have time, with an antiglare cover for comment.

Anyone have the menu on the 7" mastered? I'm on set and my AC is having trouble setting it up......If someone has a link to a manual or time for a phone call, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Steve

I got mine today and it seems so far to be a solid piece of kit. Clearly i haven't had much time with it but so far I really like it. I also like that the software is similar to my smallhd 502. However I'm having an issue with the waveform. I'm wondering if its only my unit or is this a common thing because I have heard no one mention it so far. The waveform shakes like crazy, like its spazzing out. I'm uploading a video taken by my phone right now. But this was one of the first things I noticed. Also the brightness/exposure changes slightly when toggling focus assist.
