Scarlet X to Epic Dragon is a gutsy move- that's some serious coin. I'm wondering out of those upgrades, how many of them are A-Cam Scarlets and how many are B-Cam soon to be A-Cams.

Interesting to see that we're 3 weeks in and the straw poll shows Epic X upgrades up 11 points on Scarlet Dragon upgrades as we patiently wait for Dragon footage.

Ha! Yes, I should requalify my previous post and say Epic X/Scarlet D upgrade is 'serious coin.' and Epic Dragon upgrade is 'serious, serious coin!'

I have a feeling more people will start to opt for the Dragon upgrade once we see footage.

Any truth to the fact that you are able to switch upgrades from Scarlet Dragon to Epic X at any time, but lose your spot in the queue? I also read that once you choose Epic X you are locked in and cannot switch to Scarlet Dragon.

Could be false info because I can't find a post from Jarred or anyone from Red confirming this.

Bob, he is referring to the $9.5K for the Dragon Scarlet / Epic-X vs the $19K for the Dragon Epic - which is double the coin... :sifone:

Just received my email that its a go, for the upgrade to Epic.... Excited....

I just switched my upgrade option from Scarlet Dragon to Epic-X, so that poll at the top is now slightly off

I look forward to getting an Epic and am stoked that the process has already started. I am excited for Dragon too, but that could be a ways down the road.

I'm on the fence with the EPIC move.

So I got an email asking for payment for the EPIC-X upgrade.

Trouble is its way earlier than I thought it would be, and in the fine print, it says if you dont pay up within 5 days your camera gets marked as executed.

I sincerely hope this isn't as cut and dry as it sounds. I thought I had at least a couple more months to get that cash together.

Yea I paid when it was announced so I been ready since day 1. The only downside is I'm shooting till the 12th with it.
