Just got Email from Red, that I can send in my Scarlet for Epic-X :)
 
What I dont like is, that they didnt say anything about a date. I thought it would start in June, but now I've to pay in 5 business days, otherwise my Scarlet will stay executed and I dont get the possebility to switch to Epic again -.-
 
Payment is processed, just waiting on RMA to email me about shipping.
 
I know. I was expecting june/july and had no idea it was going to be such an ultimatum. If it had been made clear there was such a policy I would have held off even applying for the upgrade until I had the cash in hand to be sure to pay at a moments notice.
 
Bit disappointed in the 5 days or else myself, but nothing you can do, so not point worrying about it.
 
Have you talked to your rep? They're pretty reasonable.

Its not as cut and dry as that, this is something that dramatically affects the obsolescence obsolete factor of owning a RED. If my camera becomes non-upgradeable PERMANENTLY simply because I wasnt able to pay in time then it concerns me.

Got my upgrade email this morning from Scarlet to Epic-X.. Really didn't expect it so soon, good thing I paid off the credit card a few days ago... I put in the initial order on April 12th. Looks like Red is moving fast!!!

Bare in mind it should also be a 3-5 day process for payment also.
 
I'm also wondering what falls under additional repair-costs...Scratches on the hull? Lucky me I always put her in a cage.

EDIT: Just saw some scratches on the bottom---I bet my ass I'll end up paying more than 10K.
 
I'm pretty sure scratches don't matter.

LOL---tomorrow is a holiday here in Germany and I always wire transfer....so there is no possible way my money will be on there account on time.
I didnt even got a mail with SO. I'm fucked.
