  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The 5.6" RED LCDs that are shipping now are made of metal. The early ones were made of plastic.

Some people with metal ones think they're too heavy and want the plastic ones.

Some people with plastic ones think they're too light and want metal ones.

As a result of some requests, this is the place to work out a swap.
 
i have nothing to add but i think the original post is hilarious

i hope everyone gets the lcd they want
 
Shhh... Don't tell anyone, but the metal ones are better.

it was just a rolling change... the performance of the LCD hasn't changed, its just the shell. We wont be doing swaps at RED for the two, so this thread is actually a good idea for people that want to do a swap.

I am assuming, though I could be wrong, that no one has the metal ones yet since the 1500-1750 batch has not yet arrived (assuming this will be the first batch of metal). Thus people looking to trade won't get responses until Saturday/Monday ;) then have at it....
 
I have a plastic one and will trade for metal. PM me if you're interested.
 
i guess those of us that bought the small LCD before the Pro LCD was released can't upgrade to the new pro version by sending back the old one and paying the difference?

If that's the case and someone wants to buy one of the non-pro plastic LCDs please send me a private message.
