Ziploc bag is priceless. Locks the freshness in!

This thread is seriously impacting my ability to do anything productive today.

Out of curiosity, what camera is snapping all of these stills.

Forgot the Bomb EVF, or just didn't feel like it? -:)
Glad he did. Interesting to see how the touchscreen holds up in rain and snow.

(Would a heavy snowflake on the touchscreen change focus?:001_huh::emote_22_yikes:)

A nearly one-of-a-kind camera that the entire film-making world is lusting after being covered by a zip-lock bag in sub-freezing and snowy conditions? That is legendary.

Bravo for actually taking this out in the field on Day #2.

Mark and OFFHOLLYWOOD Team:

Thanks for all the updates and pictures.

I will tell you the LCD is just gorgeous. I think it might have a lot to do with it. I love using the touch screen. Didn't think I would - but I just love it.

Completely agreed. I never thought I'd like the touch screen... but it's the fastest way to knock through settings on set. When you're trying to reload two cameras [stuffed in a 3D rig] or change settings as quickly as possible, the touchscreen is currently the fastest and most consistent way to do it. By the time all of the functionality and interfaces are completed, you guys are gonna LOVE the idea of a touch screen UI.

But if you don't? Who cares! You can use the REDmote. Not a fan of the REDmote? Let's just say that I'd be stunned if there aren't a lot more options than that. :)

I have to say...

That PL mount looks like a beautiful piece of jewelry or watch!

The mount is amazing. RED has gone through a lot of mounts and a lot of people have built a lot of opinions on them [including myself]. It's time to let those opinions go... this mount is fantastic and has been nothing short of rock solid thus far. The feel is perfect.

Great! Any info on the flange adjustment, how is it done?

Also Mark has a very nice zoom on the first shipped EPIC-M: Angénieux 15-40mm T2.6 OPTIMO.

BigLu posted recently about it...it's a a very simple operation.

One thing they showed us was how you backfocus an Epic.
The Epic backfocus is a worm screw yes its EASY very EASY to change the backfocus and you can be safe that it will not unscrew its self.
Thanks for showing us Jarred.

I'm sure Mark can elucidate more...
