  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

As far as the "mini", refer to Post #168. Mark answered another inquiry:
"You are are correct. There is no "mini". They are all lean and mean :)"

Related to the audio sync, refer to posts 126 - 128. The wireless timecode is based on the Ambient ACN system which is in the OMOD Engine.
That engine, which has many more advanced functions, is not part of the entry OMOD XLR or OMOD POE.

Will there be a few minutes of power in the omod to cover battery changes? That's a pretty nice feature of movcam setup and something I'm weighing up against the features of the OMOD.

The MOVCAM is a "V-Mount to V-Mount" hot-swap solution. So, you have to already have a v-mount DSMC2 Battery Module - and then the MOVCAM solution locks onto the attached v-mount Battery Module.

We have three different DSMC2 Battery Modules coming that you can attach directly to any DSMC2 camera or ANY DSMC2 module. Working prototypes in early March - shipping in mass quantity about 2 weeks after NAB. You will be very happy :)

24V is a big deal. Thanks for that. I've been using the awesome Solid Camera Scatterbox to get 24v, but an integrated solution will be fantastic..
