  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thanks for the heads up, Ryan. Funny, I was wondering if you had received yours. I put off purchasing Mikael's app until I have Mark's goods in hand. I'm sure that is exactly what Mikael wants to hear. Haha. I'm with you though, sir - I'm anxious to test all that remote control goodness.

Pedal is to the metal. Some tracking numbers went out about an hour ago - more tomorrow - lot's more every day next week.
 
Everyone can watch it's progress and be super jelly!

Stoked for the Hotlink. The Hotbox has me as excited or more. Seriously, what you and Mikael have done has me more excited about the platform than even Dragon has done. Truly some amazing combination of peanut butter (RED) and Jelly (3rd party devs).

Seriously, hat's friggin off to you guys.

you ain't seen nothin' yet - we got a pretty sick trick up our sleeve for NAB 2015 :)
 
But seriously, Hotlink looks amazing, Hotbox looks like it'll rock my world. Now if only I can get you to make a Y cable that can adapt the VLCX into DC Lemo for the Epic Brain, and then into the hotbox so I can rock the VLCX just like the Alexa peeps.

That cable is already done - adding to the store Monday. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Wait until you see the HOTSWAP XLR :)

It's all good, Mark. I trust ya; I know I am not the only one that has been paying attention here on RU for quite sometime now. Your team is beyond hard working and diligent; we're all just excited for the svelte package you are bringing to market.

From OffHollywood to my own IndieHollywood, I'm all for supporting your effort. Kick ass, dude.
 
@OFFHOLLYWOOD HotLink and HotTap arrived. HotLink + @mikasky FoolControl are a match made in heaven. Really is a must have accessory.

Received my tracking number over the weekend.

Thank you so much, Mark! I don't get excited over much, but I'm really excited to test this bit of kit out combined with Mikael's FoolControl. The added accessibility brings the camera a step closer to what I envisioned owning back in 2000. When combining the modularity and sheer prowess of the EPIC, with indie-friendly motion control and UAVs, and remote control at this level -- let's just say I feel CRAZY fortunate to live in the future.

It's awesome how dreams can literally manifest. Thanks again for developing this, and getting it to us.

Edit: How are you guys attaching thumbnails to your posts? I understand inline photos require a URL to an external site, but what about the thumbnail attachments?

You have to go in advanced mode when creating a new post / reply.
then click on 'manage attachement'

A bunch of tracking numbers will go out in about two hours - if you don't get a tracking number today - you will get one this Friday - because before I leave the office on Friday this week I will make sure every single unit that has been ordered before today will be out and on the way.

Sorry for the delay - I honestly did not expect this many orders to happen so quickly. Also - just FYI - as of today I'll have about 20 extra units that can be shipped on Friday after all preorders go out -

There's a quick-start guide and FAQ here - it's not 100% done - I need to polish and clean up the multi-camera config stuff - so it's not 100% done - but the "quick start portion is - it's here -

Not to drift too far off-topic but the purpose of SSL isn't to ensure that Mark is honest, the purpose of SSL is to ensure that you're actually talking to Mark.

Back on topic. Mark do you have any plans to release a P-Tap -> USB cable?
