  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

November 3rd...

You've got balls for sure. Swing for the fences. But the track record on Scarlet delivery has been inconsistent. Why will this November be any different? I'm sure the camera specs will be exceptionally good, better then Canon for many but at the end of the day if there's a choice it might between dependable availability on time. I mean no disrespect by this, truly. Why is this time different?

Seriously... Nov. 3rd. Be there or be square.

Jim

I haven't felt that good and excited for years. My Scarlet's is meant to serve in an organization that mixes indie production and teaching. Teaching both corporate, indiefilmpeople, and kids and youngsters (Scarlet Camp). The Sun is really shinning today in little Denmark.

Would you want to be Canon making a presentation on Nov. 3rd?

Jim

I hope you choose to announce a few minutes after Canon finishes. With Red's "Attitude" and naming conventions, I feel like Cannon will be making a "Shot heard 'round the world" announcement. Then Jim/RED says "That's nice...Jarred, Drop the BOMB"

Well now all we have to do is find something to do until November!

With a finger on the big RED button!

Jim, will it be a night to drink the good Scotch? :-)

Buy an EPIC-X an get to work!

Jim

Hahahahaha

Have to say one thing.
I am currently teaching for a couple of days on that other camera.

Wow do I miss how the Epic behaves in the highlights on the verge of clipping.

If Scarlet has enough headroom to make the latitude as useable as it is on the Epic, RED has much fun for all of us.

I have some wishes for the Epic and Scarlet. Of course. But that's for another thread.

As to the potential delivered imagequality, the Epic is in a legaue of its own.

If Scarlet disappoints... I'll retire.

Jim
