  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Tilta dsmc2 rigs

I am interested in this as well. Importantly it adds proper audio capabilities to the cameras - the omission of phantom power from the cameras has been a real stumbling block for me. The OMOD also looks like a good solution.
 
Interesting Bob. I doubt it - the Tilta looks like it just provides phantom power.

I am considering the OMOD XLR which has separate and reportedly high quality preamps. However, how does the OMOD interact with the camera body and in particular the onboard preamps on the camera? If i chose mic level inputs to the OMOD or any other device which has its own preamps, can it bypass the cameras preamps in some way? Perhaps so - I would be delighted to hear that was the case.

well done Brian. Your products are killer and most important original. See you at Nab. Bright tangerine always made excellent products and so did AP.
the two of them are more than capable off producing the best, as all their products are design FROM CINEMATOGRAPHERS TO CINEMATOGRAPHERS.
 
Titla's new store and office in Burbank should be open now. I happen to be a beta tester so I have one of the systems. Keslow and some rental houses have the system and have added their notes.
Yang who runs things in the States is very hands on and listens. I am hoping they adhere to good quality control and also customer service which sometimes can be sketchy with some overseas manufacturers.
 
Any idea what pricing will be on the module alone? I only see it listed as part of a whole body-wrap kit with many components.
 
TILTA just had it's debut store party Saturday evening in Burbank. Yang assures me things will start shipping soon. I am in France but maybe someone here went to the party and can comment.
 
I was at the party and I still don't quite understand the availability of multiple items including their awesome carts. I just want to give them some money it should not be that hard.
