I'm really looking forward to checking this shoulder rig out. Should arriving to my home soon.

The new jag stuff has been completely rebuilt and I can't wait to see how this holds up to my wc shoulder rig. I'm thinking it might end up being a good fight!

Please let confirm if the crimson plate blocks the use of the mic mini jacks.
It looks like ---- will not be able to use the mic. jacks from the pictures.

Thanks in advance.

$1000 for that rig is insulting.

i'd at least have thought they'd be able to hire a copywriter who can spell 'scarlet' properly with that kind of markup.

]My personal opinion is if you're over 5'-10" I think these type of rigs are way to high on the shoulder
.

That should be OK, i am 5'5".
BTW I will order piece by piece.
What I need is:
1. crimson plate
2. shoulder pad
3. rods in different sizes
will build my own rig.

P.S thanks Terry for pointing out the space for the mic mini jacks.

You can charge at least another $650 if you say it's for a RED camera.

no Alex, it's 15mm

Sorry Paramon, on the site noticed it is 15 and I think on the photo and video it is 15 but in correspondence I was told from Gini rig really it is 19 mm indeed!

Here is:
Gini Rigs: the scarlet line is 19mm. We have been over this.. You asked me before you ordered if it was 15 or 19mm... I told you it was 19mm. Also in the photo those are 19mm rods.

After a lot of research, we got the Gini K2 rig with counter weight (extra), bridge plate and dove tail plate (extra).

The Bridge plate and dove tail can stay attached to the rig for clip on and clip off tripod mounting, quick and non intrusive.

We added a WC cheese handle and easy plate (mounting both LCD and Handle) and a SSD guard.

I think the whole total was under $1000 including shipping.

Its a stream lined, light but robust kit which is easy to handle. Coming from shooting Aatons and Arri's the last thing we wanted was a huge "transformer" type rig. (each to their own of course)

Pretty impressed actually. Light, but well built and solid. I also found Gini communication prompt and efficient as with WC's.

I'll keep this post updated once I've received the rig.

I'm especially interested because it's a very straightforward solution for run and gun shoulder cam work. Seems like it will be quick setup and easy to work with.

Like I said, I'll keep everyone posted.

Source: it is sitting 3 feet away from me as I type this.

Zack,
it's terribly overpriced

Like I said, I'll keep everyone posted with the facts.

I own a WC shoulder rig and enjoy it quite a bit, I'll be interested to share my educated experience with the product instead of just spewing uninformed opinion.
