  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New project...

My guess is Jim is working on a new type of lens. The RPPs and RPZs were good, but they had conventional optics design.
There are some new concepts out there like folded optics and liquid optics.
These sort of lenses should save space, help you travel lighter, and save time changing lenses. They will obviously require some new electronics.
You all will put deposits for those. Guaranteed by Jim.

Drone? Mhhhh... near-space solar powered autonomous drones providing internet to the whole world? What kind of drone Gavin?

Yeah, got a design proposal for that too. Jim's running out of room to avoid my portfolio. Lol. :smile5:

That was an interesting one to design though, as the air gets pretty thin. I have ways around it to. On a cheap ground based tower system I was working out how to service vast amounts of people from a small cheap tower using visible light (wireless back up for differing conditions). I forget, but could have been millions of connections to the one tower. As usdual, if I'm saying it its since been done by somebody else, for the community benefit, has become worthless, or there is a lot more cool stuff to it compared to what I'm talking.about, which is pretty cool anyway. :)

Not close...

Not close...

No one is close. Some news will be posted pretty soon.

How about a clue? Is it bigger than a breadbox? '-)

Suborbital and why not orbital super jets to replace Concorde and make the world smaller.

Quick, everyone think of any idea that is the opposite of everything in here :tongue_smilie:

An alcohol that has no hangover effects at all.

It's obviously going to be a Frankenstein child comprised of partnerships with Oakley meets RED meets Apple and maybe a little VR somewhere in there.

Just about to do my life extention order (where the interviewer is from). I don't take anything unusual or not related to my conditions/exercise, but it is astounding the visual difference it makes to my age. Also I got one basic biological health assesment when really well once that came in 27/28 years old, within months of no treatment and backwards health it went to 73 or 83.

Just high dosages of vitamin c, and a few other things, is wonderful on the skin.

I wonder how much of it is epigenetical.

I've got it. You've finally sussed out what it is that will satiate the Asian libido? The knock on effect being of course that you will be heralded as the saviour of the Worlds endangered species! No more Lion Bones, Rhino Horn, Elephant Tusks, Tiger Dicks, Shark Fins or Bear Balls will be poached or traded once 'Jannards Jolly Jimmy Juice' hits the shelves.... am I close?

More guesses :-)

+) Luxury floating hotel that travels around the world. The lucky inhabitants get to wake up in new destinations every week.

+) The worlds first space elevator anchored to the ground using a web lattice of Zylon. The lucky few that transcend into the heavens from a vantage above the clouds.

+) The opportunity to record details of your life, with your designated possessions. When you finally leave this world for the next, You will be placed in a capsule and jettisoned into space on a bearing of your choosing.

+) Each 1000 people will get the opportunity to have a share in a gravitational wave detector to augment the two in existence, fuelling our species understanding of black holes and gaining a better understanding of 'spooky action at a distance'.

+) An international SIM that will replace the ones that lock your mobile phone into a specific country, dispensing with exorbitant roaming charges.

+) An initiative that floats huge tanks of polyethylene terephthalate (that bacteria that's eats plastic) in the Arctic & Antarctic - filtering the non biodegradable plastic that being eaten by (and is killing) marine life, and reversing the scaring effect of pollution.

+) The worlds first autonomous statosphere flying robots power buy ion engines that follow, match the speeds and dock on specs of space junk, then changing the directory into the earths atmosphere - with the goal of minimising space junk the next generations of this world.

+) A series of international lock ups dotted around the world. So you need not fly around the world with endless bags of equipment (and hardware not easily transported on a commercial flight).
