Mark, have you used them with an Epic/Scarlet?
Only for testing in a studio, we did some comparisons between the Sony's, CP.2s and Canon Primes on a mate's Scarlet, and the results were exactly what you'd expect, that is, you get what you pay for. We preferred the CP.2s over the Sonys and preferred the Sonys over the Canons (which is a reality the relative costs of the lenses bears out).
I've shot 5 projects now on the Sony primes, each time as a bundled lens set with rented Sony F3s where our client's budget wouldn't stretch to nicer glass. In short? They get the job done. Optically they're nice, and operationally they're leaps and bounds better than still lenses to shoot with.
We recently acquired a set of our own as part of a new F3 package we picked up. I was contemplating keeping them as a cheaper option to rent out with our camera packages, but as I said I don't really think rental is what these lenses are best suited for; and since we already have a full set of CP.2s, they're the lenses I take out on my own shoots, so I'm selling my Sonys.
I don't think I have any copies of the .R3D files from our Scarlet tests, but if you're interested I can shoot you through some samples from another comparison we did with the Sonys and CP.2s on an F3.
