Pocket 6K is cheaper, easier to focus due to smaller sensor size, better codecs, and arguably more professional feature-set.

Image-wise, the S1H looks competitive. You are also comparing a 3.76µm vs 5.94µm sensor.

I've had a Canon 7D, Nikon D7000, Nikon D7100, Sony A6000, Panasoni GH1, GH4 and Gh5. I have pushed and pulled Long GOP H.264 files until they screamed for mercy, In this Day and Age with the BMPCC6k and the future release of a Red Komodo 6k both that record in some flavor of Raw, I wouldn't pay $4000 for a camera that still records in Long GOP H.264/265. I don't care if it's Full- Frame or not.

And with the future implementation of external recording out to an Atomos Ninja V, that's another $700 + added to possibly record to ProRes Raw or whatever Raw codec format it will be. Also what wiil be the actual quality of the Raw sensor data outputted from the Panasonic S1H.

Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K footage shot in 6K at 50fps. I used the Sigma 18-35 1.8 Art Lens mounted on the Zhiyun Crane 2. I went to Jardim da Gulbenkian in Lisbon which is a beautiful spot to capture great imagery.

I downscaled the footage to 4K DCI in Davinci Resolve and I zoomed in on one shot to test the crop and re-framing capabilities using native 6K footage on a 4K timeline.

This video demoes the new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K with proper exposure/color and careful cinematography. There's already a lot a ton of personal-vlog-level content about the BMPCC6K (comparing against the 4K version, reciting specs again and again), but what's left to show you by now, is formal cinematography. In this video, I casually comment on each of the five-second clips, but if you prefer the sound off, you'll still see a box at bottom-left, always showing you the current resolution, frame rate, lens focal length, and magnification or "crop." For this shoot, I'm running around Manhattan after picking up the camera from B&H on its release day, paired with only a 12mm and 85mm prime lens.
