New 4.7 inch screen doesn't rotate?

Ah, thanks. I figured I was missing something, haha. Because on of the SDI jacks is an input, right? So you jump from camera SDI to plate, which then gives you two SDI outs. Then I assume a D-tap cable for the power?

I'm sure a bunch of stuff will be announced at NAB, so I'll have to just work without a top plate for a little bit. Excited for NAB this year!

oh, so you dont think this will be cable-less, you think there will be a cable that needs to go from the i/o expander to the top plate in some way, right?
probably why they are saying you need the i/o module to use it.
i got excited for a minute thinking maybe you could skip the i/o module if you just need an sdi output and nothing else.

i personally would love a top plate that would offset the pogo connection to the left, in order to off center the monitor, and if it just had one sdi out, without the need of the i/o module that would be a miracle, then just choose your battery plate, even an xl revolt or an ET AB mount.

Can anyone else clarify the item description for the 4.7" sounding like you can reverse pogo mounting and use image flip?

I posted it earlier in response to Dave saying it can't be laid down against the side of the body... But this says otherwise:

Hey Josh,

i hoped for the same but it doesn't work. Even if we could the ssd cardslot would be to far out to alow it to flip down completely.
When i found out about the wooden camera toolles monitor mount i thought this is the option because it makes the monitor stick out a bit so it would flip out completely and then i found out that the pogo mount is not reversable.
So we just need this wooden cmaera toolless adapter in reverse

Just my 2 cents. It bugs the shit out of me big time that it doesn't rotate. But having shot with it a while now, you do get used to it in a weird way. It also took me a moment to get used to the fact that the image looked considerably smaller than the older version.

To me, the benefits of the new 4.7" vs the older 5" are, as folks already mentioned, more pixels, making a little sharper clearer image, plus it's a HUGE PLUS that it is cable less. I know people will come up with their various pogo solutions, but if you're in a hurry, you can leave the monitor attached to the body, pack the camera in a backpack with a battery and a lens, and within seconds you're up and running to grab a shot, if you're into using it for running and gunning. Not dealing with the lemo cable seems like a small detail, but to me it was well worth the upgrade.
