-$4495 if ordered at the time of any DRAGON purchase ( new or upgrade )

Ships this Summer

How is it for future 8k and 28k sensors Jarred?

That's damn pricey if I must say. I realize 5x faster but you guys have been charging $5k for the current model for a long time now and I know parts for those things MUST have become lower over time due to Moore's Law. It's gonna be harder and harder getting people into the swing with a car that is almost $10k brand new. I don't mean to play Devils Advocate. It just seems EXPENSIVE and the old one was already quite pricey too

Red, sell the old cards for $1k a pop !!!!

You would be surprised Rick.. Trust me I agree with you but Mr. Moore seemed to overlook this one. The current Rocket is the one product that hasn't gotten a whole lot cheaper to make like everything else. We have been very transparent in passing reductions in costs to you guys... and for whatever reason these cards cost us very close to what they did 5 years ago. Seriously.

To put it in perspective.. just remember that the original Rocket can still out-process todays fastest dual xeon $12,000 computers when it comes to crunching through those R3Ds.

The best bang for the buck is the combo dragon upgrade with the rocket X card. And the fan upgrade. And this bolo paddle.

I just want a clear enclosure so I can look at that thing all the time. Nice design for a PCI card.

is this better than TITAN ? any chance to compare :) how much would costs rams+ high End GPU for same performance with RRocket X?

Apples and oranges. Rocket X is a FPGA for processing R3Ds. Titan is a graphics card with CUDA cores that can be used for other video stuff.

Hi Jarred,

Will this Red Rocket have upto 3 years warranty/Red Armor available?

Most of what Red does is great for their customers but the current setup with Red Rocket cards simply isn't good enough for a pro piece of kit. That something can fail and there be no means to fix it, the only solution is to replace it, becomes very costly. I know of few Red Rocket users that haven't had to have a replacement. I'm on my third card to date.

Thanks
Paul

Great Jarred.

yup.. 3 year RED ARMOR is $395.

Take it you can use a current RED Rocket and a new RED ROCKET-X at the same time in the same machine???

speechless!! Thanks guys
