Some kind of roboticised, programmable camera stabilization with gyros, accelerometers - perhaps even hand held. I've been waiting for some kind of 'smart' steadicam.

The ability to focus in post.
That would be amazing, but what do you mean exactly?
I've seen what Vince is working on and what the "thing" is. I've held it and messed about with it and I can honestly concur with him that it's a mind blower.
The price point vs ability of this new "thing" will make some people very happy and others unhappy but in the end we will all have a great new "thing."
Are you thinking of Cineform's codec? With the success of the Blackmagic Cinema Camera last year, I'm really thinking that GoPro might make the move and introduce an entry level cinema camera this year. I think I read on REDuser that their RAW recording technology is licensed from RED. They have the codec and lots of money backing them, will they make a big move?

Sanjin, I know what you are saying, but I somewhat disagree in terms of practicality.
I recently shot a lot of footage in India as a single person 'crew' with the entire camera rig fitting in a backpack.
My backpack weighed less than the weight of the 65mm camera body alone ( at 40lbs... no lens or film mag ) and I am able to equal the quality of that camera when presented on a UHD TV set.
That is REAL 4K .
Yes, the 65mm camera makes even higher quality, but for me targeting 'only' 4K viewing this is just amazing.
Have you ever lifted a roll of 65mm film ? It's one heavy chunk of plastic I'll tell you that!
Or a Lens like the lytro camera that allows you to focus in post...
