  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB 213 update...

Tonaci and I will try as usual. As soon as those doors open Monday morning the Wifi/cellular just comes to a standstill so it's hit or miss, though.

Sweet! Will be crusing nab by internet so this is very welcomed.

Excited as always, I keep saying next year I will do NAB, but work is too busy, next year I will just schedule it!

I will be checking in here to see what´s cooking, and ready to order whatever you guys have that I crave ;-)

Jim , I am sorry for the Cliche but you are so inspiring to me and my concept of business.
I am so proud to talk about some things including cinematography and cameras with you.
This year I will stop by as I used to and will admire your leadership and energy, and of course will check and be part of all again.
Thanks to let me be part of this train.
Hope to spend another good time with you and your great team.
Cheers from Brazil!!

Jim,

My unborn baby is being born that week...Needless to say I won't be making it?. Maybe I'll end up with two new babies that week when you drop something I can't live without!

I will definitely be there. Last year was my first time at NAB and it was a blast, and going to the RED booth was super exciting. I can't wait to see what you guys have to show this year. I'm also excited cause I should be able to enter the RED club next year with my very own Scarlet. So stopping by the RED booth this year is not an option. It must be done. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

This will be my 3rd time attending, but first time as a Red Scarlet owner and can call myself a real Red user.. hoping to upgrade to Epic/Dragon this year. Looking forward to meeting everyone else.

Second time for me but first as an actual owner ;)

My first was NAB 2011.

I was in line Monday morning right behind Ketch (I should have said hi).

Got into second (possibly) showing off Dragon.

This time around and as a first time owner, I wont be as timid ;)

The RED team has been working overtime (the ultimate understatement) to make sure we don't disappoint at NAB 2013.

What we are doing on so many fronts is not easy. Just the opposite. It is all nearly impossible when you consider where the other companies are today... and they have had decades of practice.

It wasn't too long ago that we bravely entered this market with a "4K for everyone" camera. Then we invented upgrades. Admittedly, we knew less of what we were doing than more. But we continued to push ahead with the same "we don't know what not to do" attitude.

For all of our faults (many)... caring about our customers and pushing the envelope are not two of them. This always seems to have us riding the ragged edge. This NAB presentation is no exception. We are trying to do things never done before and the clock is ticking for us to get ready.

We have been particularly quiet before this one for good reason... we aimed incredibly high and it will be a close call. I can, however, now say that stopping by the RED booth this year will be a good idea... thanks to the effort of our entire team.

I'm getting old and this stuff is getting pretty nerve-racking. But we will make it. So should you.

Jim

Jim, is this the eng case camera, or the 4k cheap one?

Thanks again Jim.

What would NAB in 213 AD have looked like?

I wonder how much a grey hound there will cost me...I have nothing going on, might as well go I guess...
