Obviously in this case was not reached any sort of a bilateral contract between the parties involved...

We will have the new Bomb EVF working for those who find us at the show tomorrow.. the new Bomb EVF also works with the RED ONE as Jim mentions.. so we will find the RED ONES on the show floor and give it a go for any that are interested.. it's worth seeing.
Mitch,
I mentioned the fact that Dalsa asked P+S Technik to make 4K optical viewfinder for Dalsa Origin cameras almost year or more ago on this forum.
Mitch, that is in essence what a rolling shutter does. It's similar to what happens in a 35mm SLR shutter in that, for higher shutter speeds, only an increasingly narrowing slit of film is exposed at any one time.Mike, what I meant was that if the subject in the frame was moving and the photosites were scanning on and off in the manner you described, then the moving object would smear itself across the frame like a slit scan exposure.
RED is announcing the addition of several new pieces to the EPIC and Scarlet modular system.
1. The new Bomb EVF. 1/3 the size and weight of the original EVF with improved image quality. Can be used with EPIC, Scarlet or RED ONE systems.
2. A new EPIC/Scarlet OVF (optical viewfinder) module is in development.
3. New rods/rails, base plate and handheld system.
4. New battery technology that works in the accessory side handle and/or battery modules. You can also use RED Bricks with EPIC and Scarlet.
5. New types of flash memory recording modules along with CF card modules.
6. New Pro I/O module.
7. New LCDs, including two touch screen versions.
These are all in addition to the Mysterium-X sensor program that has significantly more dynamic range, higher useful ISO, and less noise than the RED ONE Mysterium sensor.
The EPIC and Scarlet system share all modules and are independently upgradeable. Upgrade only what you want/need as technology advances.
EPIC-X is 5K at 100fps with REDCODE 250. 4K and Quad HD at 125fps. 3K at 160fps. 2K at 250fps.
Jim

Jim
They are not working on one.. Everyone cries for one, but no one wants to PAY for one. They are expensive.
Jim says he'll make it, if enough people put down a deposit.
So far... Nada
Jay
Roger Deakins wants one.
