i think this monochrome version of dragon truly has more dynamic range than film...
i wish we had this kind of dr in the Normal/Non Monochrome Dragons..

This was one of the most surprising shots for me. We shot this at blue hour, very close to full on night. People were asking me what we were doing and why because of how dark it was. Being that the camera is monochrome we got away with it because in color the skies would noticeably be an off shade or normal blue skies. The key light is an arri 300w fresnel into a 12x12 muslin, the backlight is a Joker 400w chimera with a diaper, chimera cloth, full grid, light grid and 1/4 grid on it... we put everything on it and had it raised about 20' back from talent... it played looking stronger than an 18k. Fun stuff.
