  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Module Ship Dates....

I believe that the staff at RED is doing everything they can to develop and ship product so the time they spend on this forum having to answer shipping status questions one by one is a total waste of time. If you need it now: buy a 5DII - plenty of those around!
 
Haven't heard anything about it since NAB.

If they have time to announce it in the first place, well then they should have time to answer a question about it.
 
just noticed the DSMC side handle went from backordered to coming soon in the store. Any updates as far as shipping goes for that? really want to be aable to use the red volts soon hehehe:-P

Some people make plans based on information put out by Red.......they own Reds and are shooting with them now...not trolling forums....and could use the info
From your perspective you may see it as a waste of time
 
Just to update all the guys that are waiting for their Epics on what will not be in the package when you get your camera (Stage2)

DSMC Side Handle
DSMC Ti Canon Mount
REDVOLT (4-Pack)
RED PRO EVF
SPINNER W EVF MOUNT PACK
EPIC Backpack
REDMOTE

Unfortunately this makes any commercial shooting (beside testing) with the camera impossible. Lets hope soon that will change.

I think they may actually be tweaking the design on the side handle. I've heard a few of them are coming loose and needing to be replaced too quickly. So if anything, going from backordered to "coming soon" is a sign of a longer wait.

Also, I don't think the side handle has a rubberized grip (am I wrong?). I thought that was odd. If they do redesign (there is absolutely no proof I've seen they are), I'd like to see a better grip texture.

Hey Jarred,

I just heard from my BSR and what she told me is different than these Aprox dates for Battery Mod, Side Handle and REDMOTE.

Have things changed?
 
Got a letter from my BSR about the Side Handle. Ordered separately in about 15 minutes after it was live in the store
 
Got mine too. Soon will have the handle, already have 4 batteries, now missing the charger...and the Epic
 
been looking around a lot, but i guess its burried pretty deep. Anyone remember if the price of the quad charger was announced?
