No way I'd want to spoil the party...
No way I'd want to spoil the party...
... of course we are with you ! We have proved that, haven't we ? Red has totally changed the game, and Red has brought to us a totally different filming experience. Something no indie like me would have even thought possible. Seeing you always ahead on the cutting edge of technology is fully reassuring.
Saying that, future and present are different things, as are vision and everyday's business. It doesn't seem that Red fully acknowledges the reliability issues about redmote, bomb evf, etc., as by now, letting the opinion spread on this board that some important parts of the Epic are definitely not meeting the industry standards, and sometimes useless. However diferent opinions can be, however likely a faulty sample can be, the whole thing looks more serious than that. That creates confusion, since answers from red are scarce, if any, or ambiguous. I remember the issues on the early R1, but I don't remember that kind of silence. Competition does like that, it seems. I see grinning faces around again.
Compatibility issues are serious issues, too... One reason why we are with you is that we believe and have believed in obsolescence obsolete. Compatibility of parts worth thousands of USD is part of that. Red drive was announced to be compatible, then left aside. Ok with that, and Red made an offer about it. How about R1EVF ? Especially when bomb evf is criticized. How could single cameramen be left with the touchscreen lcd only as a framing/focussing tool?
This may not be the right place to post. Anyway...
