  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Understandable to say the least. Did these people not see the pets jarred keeps at your Red Studios lair?

meantime, just try and keep the troops on the high road... as tempting as it is to want to carpet bomb.

This is only testimony to how innovative and light years ahead Red is if competition resorts to such mean ways to catch up!

Let me put down the first vote for "carpet bomb"! The industry can not be led by copycats. Lets clear the path before its too late.

Never thought it was possible for me to feel more vindicated for favouring RED's products over some of their competitors but apparently it is. I sure hope this goes no further than the actions of one individual
 
This is really unfortunate. At a time when the industry is finally moving technologies and capabilities at pace because of the inovation and no compromise philosophy that RED has championed, it is very disheartening that some would chose to cheat in pursuit of a competitive advantage.
Now we may see a situation where it is litigation and not technical challenges that become the primary obstacle to the technological advancement of our shared passion.
 
Does that mean that Bravin has information of what you've got planned for November 3rd and beyond?
If so, this could have devastating consequences.

If it was beyond just a pissing match with an ex-employer then this is doubly sad all around--including for Arri employees. I would be furious as someone whose privacy was invaded and I would also be furious if I worked for Arri and someone put a huge blemish on my hard work like that.

2009 (Right when he left Band Pro) until June 2010. So everything has probably changed since then. ;)

Oh right. It says Bravin had access to Amnon Band's email account up until June 2010.
I wonder to whom he leaked the information to.

wow it's amazing people would do this, business aside (which is huge), you personal privacy is huge and this kind of breach is unforgivable on any moral grounds.

I thought Michael was a good respectable adversary for you, regardless of if he gained tech information or not, this is by no means a proper way for any self respecting adult to act no matter the circumstances. privacy is privacy.

I hope this works out for the best for you Jim. (or the best possible... situations like this are just terrible)
 
Please keep Red focused on innovation, community, and corporate culture. It's why we are all here. Legal distraction can be so damaging. I hope the case will be resolved quickly, and any anger will be directed to making the best cinema technology company in the world better.
 
Agreed. Good thing about EPIC, Scarlet, RedRay, the new laser 4k projector, the Canon mount, the Nikon mount, the Pro I/O module, the myriad of new power modules and the several dozen other really cool products they have coming out... RED, you ROCK my WORLD! Don't you forget that!
