I have a shoot next Monday. It is not for a lot of money and I have a friend that has a RED ONE but no monitor. I have never worked with the RED as of yet but I am looking forward to it. My Question. My friend said it has HD-SDI and HDMI out puts of the camera. He said the HDMI does not work on all monitors so we would have to test. I did some research on line and found for $16 a cable that on 1 end has an HDMI and on the other end has a male DVI-D cnnection. I have a Dell DELL 2405FPW LCD monitor and was wondering if that would work to monitor the footage?

Has anyone done this before or know that it would work?

Thanks

Yes, I've done it and it works. Don't know about your particular monitor, I'd try it before the shoot, just to make sure. I have used an LG and it worked fine.

It works with my 22" Acer. But, B20 stopped working with my 17" Hanns-G for some reason. Like Mark said, try it before the shoot.

Thanks guys. I will check it out this week before the shoot to make sure.
