Sean is back again with his sidekick Nate for a quick overview of the MEIZLER module features plus a bit of RED SYNC and IPad integration.

Don't see the problem with Nate's rig ;-)

Quick question though... GPS info, is that referenced from the gyros/accelerometer already built in to the Epic or is it a new feature exclusive to the MM ?

what is the thing he had in his hand @ 2:14 in the video i have not seen that before?

It appears to be a wireless HDMI receiver. Or a UWO. (unidentified wireless object)

LOL on poor Nate... Fantastic Job again Sean!!

Thanks Jarred for this.

Nice reference from Sean on the empty... Looking forward to see the slot filled by a cool new REDCODE name... ;)

Glad I place the order immediately, this thing can't come soon enough... ;)

PS: Was hoping to see also a solution for the MB, but I guess we'll be a bit more patient on that... ;)

Sorry, one more PS: How easy is for the Meizler M. to be installed and or removed? Can an AC do so on set or better have the camera set up in the LAB prior to?

Poor Nate... as usual, loved the video. Is there any kind of drift in the timecode? Will there be support for the Cmotion handsets?

I would never really leave Nate hanging like that, felt so bad just pretending to. He's such a good sport.

The ironic thing is Nate has been part of some of the biggest camera preps in RED history. That guy can prep 3D rigs blindfolded.

Ha ha, so true, I know and have seen Nate @ work, if I could choose to have him on my 3D film He would be there... Along side you that is.... ;)

Awesome module, will get one soon...Still need to get my head around the RED SYNC and Wireless Audio.

Will RED Sync be connected to audio recorder via ???

Many questions...let see. I will be scrounging the forums and my BOMB SQUAD's head for this heheheh (Grant is an awesome guy!!!)

Also nice to see Beth Napoli was DPing this video :-)

LOL, really nice video introduction! Thanks for this.

Saw it at IBC and it was really impressive. The app is worth as much as the module.

The app didn't just scratch the surface, it digged immediately down to the core...
The ARRI guys sitting in front row of me in the IBC theater were apparently impressed! ;-) at least as much as we are.

I hope we can manage to get a Meizler module at some point for our EPIC. It seems to make a lot of sense.

What about the rumors that there is an even better module on its way?
I heard someone talking about something like "Henry" or the like?
Is it just wishful thinking or is there any truth behind?

Can't really imagine what a better module would have to offer on top...?!?

Cheers,
Axel

Even better? not a chance.. we don't know what else we could possibly put in there.

I got the impression that was derived from the iPad doing a lookup on the wifi network it's connected to, not GPS on the Epic itself.
