  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Major Announcement- July 6th

A watch with built in 4K laser projector for high quality presentation wherever you are :tongue_smilie:

Or... a wireless interface that connects all your wires to transmit nodes on your gear, be it our cameras or home equipment, making cables a thing of the past for everything :tongue_smilie:

Or... new battery technology that last a week on a full charge, or batteries that recharge by motion, heat or any other form making it constantly recharging. :tongue_smilie:

Being able to display Rec2020 / whole wall / Affordable / Bright : UHD (or higher) - Will come eventually but am not sure this would qualify as a new product category (and example of which would be a hand help device with the ability to record and display light field imagery).

+) China may create a market of affordable short throw Rec2020 laser projection in 2k first
+) Then rollout HDR (ie high contrast ratio), And then UHD.

I know of a bunch of people who make machines that can allegedly allow communication with spirits. I have no opinion on such a thing, and I don't think that Jim is doing that, but I thought I'd mention it.

Looking through the various attempts at Hoverboards, it seems most have been hoaxes or publicity stunts for other products. So, I guess that isn't as far fetched a guess as I originally thought. The Lexus and ARCA ones perhaps as close as we've come to the real thing. Can't imagine these would be in the price range that Jim seems to have indicated (you'll want to buy two).

That would be interesting. I do know of the spirit boxes. Can't speak to their legitimacy (controversial at best) but that would be quite a stunner if Jim had discovered a way to talk with the "other side". :-)
 
I'm hoping it's a device to stop people taking vertical videos with their smartphones so we don't have to see those awful videos on the news with out-of-focus sidebars to fill what would otherwise be black bands. (I wonder if they have the TVs at home on their side....)

Nope. It'll be an all vertical workflow & delivery system with vertical aspect tv's & projectors. Widescreen is a thing of the past. HIGHscreen is here to stay.

no they just watch these videos on their phones vertically.

All will be explained in my 4th... or possibly 3rd movie. Haven't decided on the order yet. A lot of that will hinge on what the reveal is. If it is what I think it is, I will shoot the movie the new way when it is mature enough to fit my skillset.
 
Since it is the 10th anniversary of RED camera product line, could it be a framed, signed and certified RED sensor mounted on a special display! There must be a reason as to why Jim suggested buying more than one of this new thingie.
