So, Jim didn't answer what deposit range we should clear away on our cards. So, maybe the deposit will likely be $1000 or less.
He said that we would be able to buy many for the price it has. However, "many" is very different between people with millions of dollars in their banks and others who struggle day to day. I would believe that it's around $3000, depending on what it is though haha, but comparing to the "3K for 3K" which was the Scarlets first iteration, those cameras were said to be "priced so people could potentially buy many".
If this is in fact aimed as a consumer tech, like Iphones and such, it will probably not cost more than $2000 though, otherwise it would be a hard sell, whatever it is. People are generally reluctant to pull out $2000 for something, that's mostly an investment they save for over a longer run.

GPS trackers for RED equipment like the new TILE?
And I know a LOT of us would love a 7" monitor with a much thinner bezel to reduce it's overall size and weight. Please please please?
I'm assuming it's going to be a new hard drive tech.
TB3/USBC, massive space (10TBs and up) and will fit easily on your desk. Fast speeds (time) and large size (space).
What is the number one biggest problem with our production pipeline today? What happens to your glorious HDR/Rec 2020 content when it finally gets into viewers' living rooms? It gets crushed by the criminally outdated Rec709 devices that consumers own. Do you know how many HDR-enabled TVs that Sony and Samsung sell at Costco today? Zero, zero TVs. There is a huge misalignment between the TVs in consumers homes and the capacity of our wonderful Red cameras. Also note that Microsoft is about to launch a console that supports HDR into this environment. Wouldn't it be great if one of the main producers of HDR content launched a TV line that could play back that content?
I am certainly getting an Xbox One X, but there is only one TV model that supports the HDR standard announced for the Xbox. Wouldn't it be great if Red was the second option that consumers were given.
