  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Drawing for patrnts always look primitive or out of date to prevent idea theft.
 
Suspect it will be use of eyes as a control mechanism - focus, interest, exposure from a photo/video perspective but way more so when gathering health data from the eye.

Possibly, but in Post #1 Jim said it "does not impact your RED camera."

He parses his words carefully so I'm not sure what that means. I guess it could mean another type of camera without competing directly with our RED cameras.

My guess is it's an IOS / Android based device, probably a smart device with a modular camera,
with the ability to add different camera modules and accessories as you require them.

Starting off with a basic 1" Sensor Module, then a S35, and maybe a FF module.

To me a pocket size interchangeable IOS / Android device seems like the next logical step in the convergent digital and stills market.


Could this device also double as a smart phone ? Maybe, but this market is pretty crowded already, it seems like such a device
would have a limited customer base, but who knows ?

However if it also took on the DSLR / GH5/ A7 / Blackmagic market for Interchangeable Stills and Video cameras then it could definitely be a winner.

Time will tell !

I would definitely like to get my hands on one and try it out. Especially if it was a S35 or FF interchangeable
stills and video / smart device.
 
Just hoping as we get closer we get a reading of the ground rules.

That is, will this be a deposit or full price payment and will it be refundable, will it ship on time +/x amount of months. '-)
