  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Macdaddy

No, CML is C.net.

C.com is that other site with Cinematography in its name

If we could get leak of one screen shot of REDCINE GUI, it will make us very happy here.

Maybe one dim shot of the main screen?....maybe….?

understatement of the decade.
Oh, man. This quote is going to keep me completely unproductive all day long! I have to do some actual work, and here you go and say something like this. Dammit, I'm gonna spend the rest of the day lurking around here just waiting for another tidbit.

REDUSER is crack!!!!! CRACKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED MY FIX!!!!!

Thanks for the pic Jarred. It's nice to see all the camera connections with labels. There was a post recently from someone a little worried about not having seen any labels so far. Any chance we could see s close-up of those labels. I know what they all are, thanks to the connections picture, but I would love to see them up-close. I tried it in Photoshop, but the res and jpg compression don't hold up. How about giving us a raw file of this picture ?!

Regarding the conncections on the back, according to the connections picture, there are two additional power ports, what are they for ?

Cheers,
Damien

That was me Damien.. You can imagine the sigh of relief that came from my person when I saw Jarred's photo.. Although, I was not that worried.. It was a pretty obvious thing.

As Jim well knows, I have been flamed more than I want to admit on C.com for trying to state my opinions over there.. It smarted sometimes.

Nice picture Jarred.

Nice camera Jim. (and Ted, Graeme, Stuart, James, Rob and Jarred)

Posted twice and had to edit to hide it. :)

Ok, admit it....
How many of you printed those shots out and tacked em on the wall?
My wife thought I was lookin at porn when I was goin OOOHHH AAAAHHHH!!!

you guys at red better watch out.

the many addicts you have created here could spur a government
crack down on this site.

Our "huge" industrial design group... is two people.

Jim

What, you and 3D guy? :whistling:

Matt and I are about all you get with the industrial design... and Matt gets all the credit.

Jim

Ha ha great, knew it.
Well, that's p-r-e-t-t-y fine with me.

Oh no, wait !
Why didn't you hire a team of designers so they can decide what's best for you ?
:sarcasm:

understatement of the decade.

That's what happens when you work with a mad scientist:sorcerer:

You have got to hand it to Jim Jannard though, the creative eye and the artistic flare this man has is trully awesome.

I wonder how long it will be before another camera company comes out with a camera with eh......similar style:turned:

I have no doubt Jim will be the perfect gentlemen when he re-appears on the C.com forum. I am sure some of those guys just felt that there was too much ephoria about a camera that was not in production, thats all. Many of them will come round and realise that us red user fanboys were onto something that no one else realised was going to herald a new beginning.

Mind you there are a few that are going to continue to rubbish red no matter how brilliant the camera turns out to be.

Dont you just love how they continue to try and improve days before production begins. Is that not simply brill.

Mike the beginner

Thanx for this cute spring newborn Jim!

Whoa...I take one afternoon/evening off from the forum to hang out with family, and what pops up: a kick-ass pic of RED One all tricked out for battle, 12 pages of posts, 114 replies, and 6409 page views so far! This kind of happening really makes a guy paranoid to take the night off...

Jarred...nice pic - you've definitely got the eye for lighting, orientation, etc...

Design team: very well thought out designs, individually and as a whole...

All RED Team: thanks for hangin' in there through these many months of 8-day workweeks. The results look way cool...

Macdaddy comin' to da NAB house...gotta love that!

i officially want the LCD also now.. HAving that sick ass "RED" logo on it just makes the camera look so BA
Very true. I might be in the minority here, but I actually like the idea of not having my eye stuck to a viewfinder all day long. If the LCD performs as advertised, I'm sure I'll be extremely happy using it as my main monitoring option. Maybe someday I'll get the EVF, but I'm starting with the LCD first.

I'm with you on that too. I guess the old school guys who are used to optical viewfinders can't go without the EVF. My red will usually be on a tripod, dolly, or jib most of the time anyway.

Wow, I turn my back for a bit more than a day and BAM!

...I wish I was going to NAB. The camera, EVF, LCD, etc.. all look amazing. Can't wait to see more views and see one in person.
