Anyone have advice on how I could power a DVI monitor with a battery?

I'm thinking maybe a rechargeable car battery with a DC inverter or something.

Not really interested in generators etc.

Any thoughts?

If its an AC powered monitor, you can just use a big UPS as would be used on a computer to keep it from going down in power outages. I've used that before but you do need a big one though and of course it all depends upon the wattage draw of your chosen monitor.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I was a bit vague, I did mean off the shelf A/C monitors.

If I had a D/C powered monitor, that would be too easy! :)
