Is anyone else having issues with their 5" touchscreen being loose on the mount. Feels there is play in there. There wasn't play when I first got it, but now a week in and it feels like there is a lot of play. Still very firm to move any direction, but there is play until that point. I'm going to contact RED support, but just wondering if anyone else had this issue.

Kyle

At your own risk: on the opposite side of the LCD connector take the small round sticker off (use a jewelers flat head) and there are screws to tighten under it..
Don't mess up the sticker, and don't over tighten, and don't blame me if ya screw anything up ;-)

Mine is also loose. It hasn't gotten any looser over the past month. I inquired with my bombsquad rep and said they could fix it. Just send it back. Hate to be without if for a couple of weeks, though. Especially since there are still a few things you need the LCD to access.

Kyle, thank you for sending us the support ticket at https://www.red.com/contact_us/new. Our RED support team will take care of you.

We always recommend contacting your Bomb Squad rep or RED tech support directly for efficient assistance. The last thing we want is for you guys to put your warranties in jeopardy by opening the LCD to alter, modify or perform unauthorized repairs. We are here to help and we are constantly working on ways to provide the best possible repair solutions for our customers. Going about it dishonestly and around the back door will only put you in the doghouse.

apparently my 1st AC tightened it during our prep which was yesterday. 6 hrs into our first day and it's loose again. I'm not really feel'n these touch screens but I'm love'n the redmote!

My bomb squad rep asked me to send it back to them as it happened on the second day of use. If I knew this has happened to other people I probably would not have sent it back. On a positive note though, you can use you RED ONE screen whilst your RED PRO touch screen is getting repaired.

Totally understand Nick. I would never open anything up anyway... just wondered if I was being paranoid or not before harassing you guys.

That's find and dandy but only if you have a REDMOTE or Sidehandle :-(.... waiting patiently!!!

I'm guessing this is referring to me? My screen went loose after 4 days, and we were in the middle of the ocean on a yacht without the ability to call tech support or go online. Since it was not an electronic issue, we figured it would not void a warranty tightening screws. (like putting e full metal jacket onto the EPIC by removing the scoop) I in know way am trying to be dishonest (hence my post??) I was only posting to help Kyle with an issue I had and resolved.. as for the sticker (maybe where you thought I was being dishonest?) is purely for cosmetic reasons, who wants a sticker with a bent part on it..

I apologize if this was inappropriate, and also if this was not directed towards me.. I love my RED stuff, just don't always have the luxury of tech support..

Thank you..

Nick I would also love to know the proper way to fix this issue.. Should I open a support ticket?

Is there a reason that the touch screen has that bracket permanently affixed to it? A simple 1/4 20 hole would make me much happier, and would probably create less issues. I am hoping one could machine a little block to contain the plug and get rid of the swively mount. I guess we'll see when mine shows up.

Our touchscreen is also loose...seems to be the norm as of right now. There is now way we could go without it as we do not have the redmote or side handle yet...

Waiting for the day for ours to arrive....

I recommend either contacting your Bomb Squad rep directly or sending us a support ticket at https://www.red.com/contact_us/new. We can then flesh out a repair solution that is most convenient for your schedule and location.
