Hey, that is the look I was going for. Preceeders {:( ;)

Wish him the best, if that poster was his work, he has a potentially long career ahead of him.

Missed with my guess again

Missed with my guess again

I guessed a Hobbit trailer....missed again.A Ridley Scott Production short...Incredible .

I watched LOOM this morning and was blown away. It is a stunning movie; gorgeous to watch, beautifully acted--it pulled me right in and never let go. I saw it in the same theater pack as actor Giovanni Ribisi who told me this was the first time he'd seen it as well, and he was just as impressed. He said they shot it in only 5 days!

This was also the first time that 3D fully sold me. The 3D just looked natural. Everything was fully in the round. There was no cardboard cutout effect. It was just--real. The RED laser projector prototype at NAB right now really is a work in progress. Today it's showing 2 x 2K images per 3D frame in 8-bit color. Jim Jannard said that by Wednesday it would hopefully be showing 2 x 4K images per frame in 10-bit color. I wish I was sticking around this year to see that. Unfortunately I'm on a plane now on my way back to NYC.

Totally blown away. In so many ways this was the best 3d I have ever seen. And the projector isn't even near production form. Amazing!

Very Very cool! The low light material was amazing. 3D image bright enough to hold up the low light material. Could never work with today's projection technology and the terrible low light 3D shown at most theaters today.

I am not a big 3D fan. For the first time, 3D seemed natural in this film; subtle enough that you didn't really notice but it really added a lot. Perhaps it's as simple as the simultaneous projection for both eyes but it was really excellent!!!!

I really enjoyed Loom. Lot's of difficult shots in there too. Looked great via laser projection.

I saw Loom today, as well. I've never been one to like 3D much, but there was one shot when Ribisi answered the door that really got my attention. They did a rack focus that re6ally brought the 3D out in a way that I've never seen. I mean it really popped. Well done.

I'm also not a fan of 3d normally. I would rather have seen this in 2D, but that's just me. I really LOVED the low light work. It looked stellar. There were some shots with 3d issues (offsets? I don't know how to describe it) but Jim did say this unit was barely Beta, so I certainly will withhold judgement. Mostly the film really rocked and showed how exciting it's going to be do watch 4/5/6K work played back on the RED Laser. Cannot wait for that to come out.

I'm glad they showed this as-is, though. Thought not perfect, it really showed HUGE promise.

I was inspired and blown away as well. It was really beautiful. Obviously the work speaks for itself with director and DP ;)
Finally 4K acquisition and exhibition is so close...and affordable.

No. EPIC M-X. Dragon sensors not ready until the end of this year. Jim
Jim, you post -
Just so we are clear... this year means upgrades begin before the end of this year. Late in the year.
So, upgrades begin before the end of this year, or not? Thank you
PS: Anyway, get it in the neck I'll ask. Suddenly, you say. :cheers2: What is the native ISO will have a dragon?

The low light shots of the woman in the red room were gorgeous. Hands down my favorite shots, along with the running at the end. Those were also very intriguing.
