A spot a few friends and I created. Shot on Dragon. Very excited about the results. https://vimeo.com/132136144

Loved the cinematography and flow of piece. Voiceover felt a little on the nose to me. Made me want to look at rest of your work and was amazed at a lot of the aerials and overall quality.
Very nicely shot Chris. Love some of those exciting magic moments in there.
Do you own the Kowas Chris? Last set I used was incredibly stiff even in warm weather and REALLY stiff in 40 degree weather. Wasn't sure if the rehousing done helped with that.
A very nice spot!
Great color, I think this is an example of the power of Dragon, with a good post production you can make it look like anything, I would say this was shot on Alexa if I didn't know.
And I'd put the awesome shot with the opened door and waves at the very end, as this sums up the whole spot neatly - "ride a Lincoln towards freedom". Something like that![]()
Very nice looking. But, I can't help hearing "Where Is My Mind?" by Pixies. The music has the same basic chord progression, a similar melody to the main guitar riff, the melody at 0:41 is a dead ringer and it's even in the same key. I'd say there's some liberal borrowing going on.
Actually the music is from one of the commercials that's clearly an inspiration. So that music is cleared. Not saying I'm not agreeing about the similarity.
Beautiful work, but if you want to send it around to the large agencies it's very possible they're aware of de thurah's commercial (it's heavily referenced all over the world). I would consider not using the music for that reason.
If this is an agency job I would consider a directors cut with different music
If you're referring to the Acura spot, it's not the same music.
Nope I'm not I don't want to go into any flame war, but I sincerely suggest to change the music as it's the actual track from Martin De Thurah's Thomson Ad and it clearly shows the inspiration in a way that's "not good". The music is beautiful, but this becomes a little to close and I know how much this ad is used as reference all over the world.
