  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

LEICA R on RED: Pictures

They probably confused the two.... Imma get it anyway :)

Or who knows, maybe I slipped in an extra step-up below :)

The 80-200 f4 is a worthy investment imo especially at today's prices. They were quite a bit higher just a year ago. I've found it to be very sharp and renders a more modern look than some of the others. First time I used one a couple years ago I wasn't crazy about it but it I was into classic Leica/Leitz at the time. Its grown on me since and some say its sharper than the Canon equivalent with more pleasing colors.

Thanks Mark, that coming from you it's a big compliment for me. Too bad I can't show it in 3D at this time because the 3D is really good.
I never had the great experience to film with the Summicron-C and Summilux-C. I can't even imagine how that will look. Working hard to do it soon.

Here's an unorthodox subject for Leica R lenses that I shot a couple of weeks ago. Mainly the 19 v2, 35cron, 50cron, 60Macro and 90cron.

Wow, great example of achieving a contemporary look with classic glass.

Thanks, guys. I was honored to be asked to shoot what would be this wonderful man's last message. I hope he would have liked it.

Hey guys! Could anybody posr here some pics wth FF on set?
in this time I only prepare myself to buy my first RED camera (RAVEN if all goes write) and now I'm working wth 5dm3 (raw mode) and most part of the time I'm doing hand held and shoulder shooting. So my interesting is how comfortable it feels and works wth FF (after cinemising of course) and does anybody try it wth gimbal (I've got RONIN)
thanks a lot!
Sergey

That is the thing about this glass, deceptively sharp when ends be. and that real vintage look when you want it as well.

Great all rounders, I'm not sure people get that as they just write it off as vintage glass. Leica did not mess around with these lenses. They weren't just built for soft and fluffy.
