  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Minus the Aerials.
Directed by Aron Paul Orton and Shot by Jeff Kelly

Nice one Aron, god job!

Thanks, I'm several K short at the moment... but hoping to get there sometime soon! ;)

Yep, I know what you mean, I waited exactly one year to get the upgrade email and of course it didn't arrive at the right time financially speaking.
I hope you will get the missing beans, I'm sure your eye and your lenses will produce something great with the Dragon!

Here we go. 19mm V2 One shot is Dragon one is MX. :)

Are you sure you shot one of those with Dragon? I can't see any noise in those pictures...
Sorry I couldn't resist.
I love the 19mm V2, my favorite wide angle!
Great pics as always David!

I think we should have a Leica R-RED users summit.

Tuscany is nice in the fall. :)

Actually one of my short-term goals is to get to Venice in the off-season...maybe even winter. I've done Firenze and Venice in the summer but would love to see them in more peaceful times. Tuscany would fit in too. I'm in!

Sign me up! Haven't been since about 2005.

But if we're bringing all of our LRs, I'll need a couple extra suitcases :-)

User summit tagline: Red Dots on Red ;)

Here are some (uncoloured) screen grabs, BTS and a couple of seconds of uncoloured footage from the feature I shot last month on Leica R series Elmarits on my Scarlet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_IjS5uS5cQ http://www.facebook.com/CharlottesSong

Starring your favourite dong chopping villain from Game of Thones, Ramsay Snow!

Looks amazing. Was that a gimbal I saw on a jib/crane? The Art Direction and mood on set looks AMAZING! Can't wait to see this. Congrats Naim!!

best

Thanks for taking a look!

That is a Movi the producer was able to get as a favour, I just used it as a normal remote head.

The art was fantastic!

The mood on set was indescribable... so many people who have worked on only small indies, or just fresh out of school, or the biggest and most profitable films the world across the board said it was their best on set experience ever. I agree. It's some of the best results I've ever turned in, and it was by far the best set I've ever been on in my life. Totally reminded me of the very first film I DP'd in film school. We had so much fun, it was out of control. I shot a huge BTS reel of just us goofing off (largely dick and fart jokes and dancing) which I will keep private.

The producers intentionally aimed for a fun set, and they nailed it (with a little help from me hiring the right mix of people).

A new standard has been set, and I know what I want to aim for now for the environment on a show. It's a lot to live up to for all shows to come in the future.

Looks great! Out of curiosity, what was in your lighting kit? Mainly kino's and some 2k fresnels?
