KOMODO....

Red Komodo Narrative Look Test

By Digital Panda

Red Komodo production model + Sigma 24-104 Art with Canon drop in VND flown on the Movi Pro and Ready Rig.

So,, I just contacted my RED Rep because apparently here in Mexico City, to receive my camera is "Mission Impossible" because I am American and not a local...

Between Custom and corruption it would take weeks and I cannot even get it myself I have to give power attorney to a local to do so... What a mess.. LOL

My excitement to shoot on KOMODO is halted til new notice... Will keep you posted folks.. I had some cool Mexican themes on the works to test and share but I won't be able to!

Til then... Viva Tequila! :)

Alain.

Hopefully they will get this BS straightened out soon. I can't image waiting this long to get the Komodo and having to deal with something like this.

A recent lowlight test I did. Shot it all at 800 ISO. Don’t judge my grading please LOL. I'm not a colorist! LOL Just really wanted to test to see Komodo’s low light capabilities.

(FYI I'm pretty sure I uploaded the video in 4K but for some reason it's only displaying the video at 1080p. Sorry about that guys, but next camera test I upload I'll definitely
make sure it will have that 4K option before I make the video public)

Don't worry it is now displaying in 4K.
YouTube takes a while to display all the resolutions (plus I think they had tachnical issues yesterday). ;)

Rand I wonder since I ve never used these wireless modules... Do we only need the Vaxis ATOM 600 KV to play back realtime on iPhones and iPads? or do we need a receiver as well???

CoreSX $199 vs Vaxis ATOM 600 KV $750 is worth it for sure if you can have the 3 IOS wireless playing back !!!

Alain,

You'll need a separate receiver. The article says that any Vaxis ATOM RX unit will work with it . The ATOM 500 SDI RX receiver is part of a kit that includes the Vaxis ATOM 600 KV for $999.

I would love to is a video test with iPads and iPhones up as shown.... Too bad you need a receiver to be wireless and not built right into the main module... heheheheh

You're welcome Alain.

I believe this is the Receiver that comes with the $999 Kit.

I was just reading about it... All these new modules come in handy to decide which first purchases to make. I find this particularly interesting cuz for small gigs and to safe time, wireless is the way to go... and with NP-F batteries the receivers, being also the standard for monitors, this seems to be a great workflow choice

Alain,

But you know as soon as you get this someone like Teradek will probably come out with something more innovative with features you never knew you needed and at a more competitive price, HaHaHa.
