  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

KOMODO....

I’m sorry this must be getting annoying for you, but are there any updates on the next custom color Jarred?

I would really love to find this out as I have a shoot coming up an the client has allowed me to use any footage as sample footage if done on Komodo. I love the red ecosystem and I hope I can Make the cut on the presumably mile long list.
 
I wonder if this is a hint that the gdu stubby grips will be up soon!! :)
 
What bothers me it’s going to be a “cables all over the place” rig.

Next winner is : who gets the slickest rig with KOMODO.

Komodo is so freaking small that AC will hate it. Directors love it.
 
Yeah I would love to see that wireless antenna get utilized with phones as monitors and I would love to go cable free, it’s hard in the beginning I guess as Komodo is currently in alpha testing

*im not complaining though and Jarred if you see this, please take note that I am availible to test, review and adopt a new KOMODO for the cost of (whatever)*
 
I think that would be really cool and that color scheme looks both subtle yet “custom” it doesn’t bring too much unwanted attention (from people who don’t know what “it” is on set but it has a cool feeling to it. If that’s the new custom color, then sign me up!

It almost looks like a tilt shift the way the two cams look, I really can’t wait to get a CC or stormtrooper
 
I don’t know if the Crash color will be the next one as Jarred said in the comments that was a one off. It would be cool if the next color is multi or red or blue....

We originally chose that filter combo to match with the convention on Alexa mini. In reality, you can custom order any filter combo you want at no extra cost, just by dropping us an email.

Sounds good. I thought I had remembered seeing or reading before that custom filter combos were available. Are there any plans to build an EF version for the Komodo, as well? I know Canon builds a vari-ND adapter, but I’d much prefer this type of system that is basically the same that I’ve used for decades.
