  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Okay... REDUSER 4K PORTRAIT Competition... Sounds like is calling out my name, doesn't??


I never did any competitions in my life, I never tried to win anything, I always work hard for what I want, never try to win it,
never enter any kind of Film Festivals either, they are just not really the kind of thing I look to do...

However this is different... "THIS IS REDUSER"... "THIS IS HOME"... So I'll PLAY!!


What will my 4 minute Short involve??


Sexy girls??

Ancient Roman Cityscapes??

New Zealand's Breath taking Landscapes??


All of the above??

Some of the above??

All I know is that I'll do something to share the love with all of you at the REDUSER PARTY IN VEGAS!!


Of course if it doesn't make it to the selection, I'll still play it here for you... ;)

I'm in the same boat Ketch. I don't normally play in contests, but I'd love to showcase what Red cameras can do. I'm with Jarred here. You'll do a great job. You likely have enough material already to make a compelling 4 minute video!

Yes You wouldn't believe what I have but this files are for the Epic gallery, only after the prints are made and showcased and sold will the video be made public of all the girls and various cityscales and landscapes.

No this deserves a completely shot for it material, and I already contacted the Boys in New Zealand as well as putting together something here at home in Rome, need to see at the end waht I'll choose as the final piece.

One thing for sure.. It will be INSANE... ;)

Well, calls are been made, emails sent out, and I really got to tell you guys that on this one I'm going al the way out,
CARLY's was a beautiful Fashion collaborative work in Chicago, but this will be my 4K MASTER PIECE!!


Since it will be viewed in 4K on RED'S 4K LASER PROJECTION technology I'm sure, it =has to be not only entertaining, but VISUALLY STUNNING...


... AND IT WILL BE... I PROMISE!!



Now I just need to set up some Location Scouting and some very serious CASTING CALLS... ;)

I must admit that I did at first tough of Chicago round II... ;)


But I have trips to Egypt, Brazil, New Zealand and, if I don't find time to do it while traveling then it will have to be Rome... ;)

You always have a home in Chicago Ketch (You too Joseph!!!), never forget that sir! We are building something special in Chicago and I am always grateful to you and Joseph for getting me way up to speed on the Epic at the very beginning... I can't thank you, Steve Gibby and Joseph enough. :)

Wait til you see what fun things we are developing when we are not on National Commercials every week, you will LOVE it the most! :)

I just wish we could post the work that we have been doing the past 6 months... We have transitioned a lot of clients from Film and Alexa to RED the past year and it is not slowing down. Hoping to bring a private reel for the REDucation students later this month.

And I know Taupo well; site of some vast eruptions in prehistory, and site of some of my OTT HDR excesses :)

Oh, okay then I was right... ;)

Yes at this time I have sent word to our friends in New Zealand and depending on how their schedule is and what they can and wish to do together,
I might in deed end up in NZ for this piece.

Good thing is that ROME really does have so much to offer I can't begin to explain how much I see every day I step out of the door of my building
in to the streets of Ancient Historic Roman center, in which I have come to take my new home.

Just DROP DEAD GORGEOUS SITES ALL OVER THE PLACE AT EVERY CORNER!!
 
Cool video Ketch is that a canon 1dx? I also like that you are walking individuals through the purchasing process right into the filming good stuff.

Thanks buddy, glad you like it... ;)

It was filmed with my 85mm f1.2L II on my friend's Lorenzo 5D.

We just shot it once at 1.8, to give a bit of back out of focus, and used two small LED's at about 45 degree front right.

Yes, this Brazilian workshop, will mark a new way of really getting down in to the Sand Box, and teaching people what matters most,
which of course includes going true the ordering process, and as I get literally always buried by PM's on all media, and emails, about what to order
or what I believe could be best for this or for that, I chose that this will one of those workshops, were I'll also film the entirety, then make a nice edit,
so that any one that can't attend, can see the videos, which I promise will be one of the most informative videos out there.
