  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

KETCH ROSSi

Four Film projects at once. IMPRESSIVE..!

He he, thanks buddy!!

Of course, we have to see how many I can really do, with still no Studios open yet, but I'm confident we'll be able to work in at list 3.

Wait and see, 2012 better be ready cause a Storm is brewing, and it will not be made out of winds an rainfalls... ;)

What?! Pyramids in New Zealand?? I'm kind of lost in the plethora of things you are doing. I'll wait for the BTS of the BTS to clear me up :-)

Ha ha!!

Yeah, lately with all the Global traveling I'm doing working all over the place, every morning after I wake up, it literally takes me 3 seconds to realize were I am... ;)

Don't worry, lots of BTS stuff coming to show you were I am... ;)

PS: Lets grab a nice spaghetti Carbonara next week, before I leave for Egypt.

*** SKYDIVE DUBAI ***

*** SKYDIVE DUBAI ***

Finally had a few moments to go thru some pics of our SKYDIVE DUBAI Shoot and upload them on our site and FB for your viewing... ;)

With this post I like to take the opportunity and thank our most gracious and generous HOST... SKYDIVE DUBAI, and our
friend and most respected Coordinator Ismaeil AL Hashmi, which literally made us all fill like we were KINGS!!

Then I have to send a word out to all of those that wanted to come and could not do to other jobs, as well as a thank you to all of those
that answered my Crewing Up call, and sorry I could not bring all of you, but good news is,
that I'm working on several other projects, and will be Crewing Up again soon... ;)

Of course I have to thank my great CREW in this event, as well as in what was a second trip to Dubai:

JOE JENNINGS - Skydiver/Epic camera Operator

JON NASH - Epic camera Operator

TONY AUGUSTINACK - DIT/Editor, Epic Camera Operator

JOSEPH HUTSON - BTS Videographer/Editor, Epic camera Operator

And of course yours truly KETCH ROSSi - Producer/Director, Epic camera operator.

An other BIG thanks goes out to al of those which will not be mentioned here, which have assisted us in every aspect during our journey in
FANTASTIC DUBAI, and made everything so much better, of course now that we all have been spoiled beyond what words can describe,
and for this again we send out an IMMENSE THANK YOU to SKYDIVE DUBAI and ISMAEIL, see you soon again DUBAI!!

We have Joseph still working on the BTS video, if we have authorization to release it, as soon as it is finished and sent to me I'll post it as well.

As for the actual Epic footage, that will have to wait and see if it will be made public at all, as chances are it will be kept private,
if it does get approved for release, then I'l be sure to make a separate thread for it and share it with the community.

A HUGE thank you also goes to Ron Anborn of MAXX DIGITAL for having provided us with the EVO 6G 8 Bay Raid 6 Towers,
in a moment were there was no Storage to be found, thanks Ron, your are my buddy!!

Nice Pix's Ketch, thanks for the inside look. Hey what are those sticks you are using with the camels in the back ground and what head... Im in the market for something that will go low and be light and easy to carry around along with being able to support my Canon 300mm Pl convert...
Thanks again.
Russ

ROME is under the SNOW, which has only happened few times in a Century!!

My SUV looks cold... ;)

Good thing that even so I'm in a major city, my neighborhood is like a small town, everything is within walking distance, and I mean everything, LOVE IT!!

If I can make it out, I'll shoot some stuff with the EPIC, hoping to rent an Helicopter... ;)

If not I just take the hold 1Ds III and go shoot me some good old fashion stills... ;)

Wow, what a shift. You guys are getting blasted. Hope you're throwing a few snowballs, Ketch;)

He he, no snow balls, but unfortunately I wasn't able to rent an Hely, which disappointed me, really wanted some Epic shots form above of this unique moment in Rome... ;(

It doesn't take a helicopter to take great shots of Rome even without snow. Please tell me you still got some EPIC stuff on the ground! :)

No, Joseph I didn't, if I don't see what I want I don't waste my time, and I didn't see what I wanted,
every one can take those shot, I look to the Extraordinary, not the ordinary... ;)

Thanks for the info Ketch but it seems after some searching they don't make those anymore with the 100mm bowl. If you have any secret source you know of let me know.
Russ

There are still plenty of places that still sale it, don't just look at B&H, and the 100mm bowl adaptor is there as well, that tripod will outlast you, and pass on to your kids, that I promise, I had one for 19 years, which had seen serious abuse, always as new, till it was stolen 2 years ago.
