  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

It ain't the camera: It's YOU !

You are too good and helpfull these days!

I'm finally knowledgable (just a bit though) to give some advice haha. So I try to help out considering you guys have all helped me out in the past.

The stills only give so much. Really need to see the images moving to judge a CC pass.

yeah I'll export full res video of both and put them up on vimeo with a download link for the full res.

All very good advices Sergio!

Thanks Gunleik! Your posts and your sharing of knowledge in these forums have truly helped me understand the camera. They are absolutely spot on to what I normally get in most varying scenarios. Thanks for coming around here to the rescue of Redusers everywhere. If you ever come to Macau, I will have to definitely buy you a LOT of beers!

Matt,

You are welcome to use my FTP if that is helpful for you.

It's happening. When I am done, there will be 100 more to replace me, it is inevitable which is why we help people with our mistakes / knowledge.

I
Please just learn to shoot... :-)

Hahahaha

I second that. When we go to Octoberfest next year you'll have to come down, beers on me.

If you ever come to Macau, I will have to definitely buy you a LOT of beers!

Thanls!

Macau and beers are on the map!

Still trying to figure out how to import this RMD of Matts look on my footage in RCX.

find the folder with your r3d's and replace your rmd with mine. Just delete yours from those two clips and drop mine in that folder. Then re-open RCX and load the clips, meta should appear.

Yeah, damn, that's what I thought. It would be a cool option to switch between different looks and save them with the RCX interface so you could have multiple RMDs in a folder.

Looking now. Unable to load the RMD so far.

In Premiere, the "Reload to RMD" options doesn't bring up your look.

Same thing for both RMD looks. humm...

no idea then. Maybe Gunleik will know :yesnod:

Did you remove your RMD's for those clips?

You could always open my R3D grabs with the meta in RCX pro and save each look in the "looks tab". Then load your clips and apply each look to the respective clip.

Tried several times. Deleted my RMD, puts your in. Closed RCX, reopened, hit "Meta" as the look present etc... Same in premiere, it's not showing up. I'll create a post in the POST section and figure it out.

Could be a naming issue. No worries Matt, you've done enough. Thanks for staying up with me tonight.

Looking forward to your videos with the CC touches.

I'll do that.

"Meta" is the in-cam shooting settings baked in the r3d, and you probably overwrote Matts by doing that.

Take a fresh copy of matts magic and just open...

Yup, compression artifacts are still around. Generally a bit too dark and over saturated for my taste. Thanks Matt.
