  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Internal ND for Raven by KipperTie

All components (72 individual parts per set!) for the first production run are made, cut, engraved, baked, coated, printed etc. We're now down to some anodising and a bunch of assembly work before deliveries start going out. We're a touch behind, but I expect to be able to show completed items in a few days from now.

I am going to purchase this amazing product today for my RED raven. I really hope there isn't any color casts... I just tried some pretty pricy ND filters and there is a strong green cast which I hate! Also is there any discount codes floating around? Thank you!
 
Hey. I'm confident you'll be happy with how neutral our filters are.

Up until the Raven product starts shipping a few days from now we have the price marked down a little on our site. If you're on the fence, this week would be good timing.
 
John, do you have a sense for when the DSMC2 6 x FS-ND OLPF kits will start shipping? I placed my pre-order last week.

I am thinking about ordering these also (DSMC2 OLPF kits) for Epic W -- is it true that every time one wants to change the ND filter strength it will require removing the lens mount then using a tool to change the OLPF? This seems like a lot of work that needs to be done in a clean environment - if frequent changes might be needed. Overall it is a great concept however.

Are the adhesives reusable once you take it out of the mount?
Is it easy to get more?

Re: shipping, I'm expecting to start shipping Raven filters the week after next if everything goes well. Once we hit that point though, everyone with a pre-order will get theirs in one hit. No dribs and drabs.

For DSMC2 ND OLPFs we're a couple of weeks away from receiving the glass, but once it arrives we have all parts in stock to ship pre-orders very quickly.

@ Brice - the kit comes with six self adhesive shims. They're reusable to a good extent, and you will be able to request extras. You only need to use them when focus marks matter to you. For many on stills glass its not a necessity.

Thank you John! I just ordered them. I would love to review them once I get them. We shoot weddings on our RED ravens and have been trying to figure out the workflow to keep ur shutter speed low and our f stop low. We tried some really expensive screw on filters and we still had the problem of the "green tint". So we believe you product will help in this area. Thanks again!

Are you planning to offer these as a la carte items at any point (i.e., buy individual ND's and/or spare insertion tool)?
