  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

If you use a DSMC...

digipicinetographer is my vote.

... does that make you a "cinemaphotographer"?

Actually, I think the proper terms are:

Oceanographer: Original Cinema Electronic And News + ographer
Cartographer: Cinema And RED Together + ographer
Choreographer: Can't Help Oogling RED Electronics + ographer.

1) Photography
2) Cinematography
3) Stereo-cinematography
4) Red Shooter! :gun:

When I grow up, I want to be a Frame Designer.

Stills, moving takes, graphics.

They are all frames, imho.

A DSMC it's a great tool, just add some Photoshop/Illustrator/Maya/Motion capabilities onboard...

:shifty:

Isn't that encouraging piracy? Inventing a fancy name for taking a camera to the theater?

Seriously though, it is a worry that someone could sneak such a small camera, like scarlet, with so much resolution into the cinema ...

"Excuse me sir? Is that a Monstro in your pocket?"

:D

DSMC is nothing new

DSMC is nothing new

I've always been a cinemaphotographer or something like that. My TRV900 already had a stills photo button some 10 years ago. Of course the resolution was limited to 640x480 and you had to use a floppy disk (!) to extract them... :clown2:

Jim, thanks to you and your brilliant team, I anticipate being a Stereocinemaphotographer in the not-so-distant future. Awesome.

Ah...these crossover times...:calm:

I like Cinephotographer(R)...rolls off the tongue a little better

and...Cinephotography(R)...BOOM.

Motionographer is real term though...as I work with many of them ( those motion graphics dudes)
