  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

IBC - Dragon Epic and Scarlet Firmware V5.1.14 BETA

Meant to mention this earlier, but whoever had the idea to put the little arrows on the magnify box. High five to you.

Quick question: What happen to "5k Ana"?

In this update I can only find the X2 anamorphic function for FF. Is there no way to only record the 2.40 x2 area of the sensor any more?
And if so how do I set up my monitoring to show anamorphic 2.4 with full width on screen?

Bjorn,

Use 5K and then select 1.2:1 as the aspect ratio in the sub menu and then enable 2X Anamorphic...

Help!
Just Upgraded Scarlet to Beta build 5
Scarlet+Nikon Mount no longer controls iris on Nikkor lenses:
AF-S NIKKOR 17-35 1:2.8 ED
AF NIKKOR 80-200 1:2.8 ED
So I can't use the lenses with this build

Iris control for Tokina SDII AF 11-16 !:2.8 still works, so it seems to be a communication problem with these Nikkor lenses.

Searched on the forum but couldn't find other users with this problem.
Scarlet asked for lens implementation at startup but couldnt complete the process due to unknown lens protocol.
tried several times, rebooted, etc.

Jarred & Team:
I would like to thank you for the 'new' camera; hope you can solve this problem in the release 5 firmware :001_smile:

This is a known bug that will be fixed in the next 5.1.x beta.

Red One 4k ANA was 2816 x 2304 iirc.

I don't have a camera at hand to verify, but from memory; with latest beta FW, you can select 3K and 5:4 aspect, with ANA desqueeze. This should be 2880x2304 - so almost exactly what R1 called 4K ANA.

Apologies if I'm wrong, but do check it out :)

Wondering if anyone has tried this... Sounds like it would/could work but I personally have never worked with ANA so I don't know. Would love to throw an ANA or 2 on my Scarlet (which feels like a Brand New camera these days, LOL.)
