  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

HDRx Magic Motion

this is exactly how we see.
try to focus on her hands while she rotates the stick. they look sharp enough to be printed out as still image.
:willy_nilly:

The car driving over the frozen lake in the one of the red reels. This type of shot should be nice with HDRX! Would make the winter a blast to shoot in!

Could MM+6 be a suitable alternative to the crisp look of higher shutter speeds or does the increase in "reference" sharpness not affect the smoothness of the motion? Would be cool to get a similar look and feel without the light loss associated with narrow shutter. On the contrary, as it turns out.

I already like what I'm seeing at +3. Personally, its lack of "reference" sharpness that I'm not a fan of at 180deg.

One question that I'm not sure has been answered:

Will we be able to play back the two-streamed HDRx™ from the EPIC/Scarlet? Or will we have to wait to see it in RedCineX, Storm, etc.?

Thanks!

I am sure Red has their reasons but the question whether one can view HDRx or Easy HDR via EVF/Monitor keeps going unanswered.

Looks really nice :-) Very Kodak EXR like.

What about exposure tools, have your teem been thinking about how to represent the normal image and the extension in falsecolor or the histogram.?

We have been thinking about everything! :-)

I have been on the phone with Graeme about all the possibilities. Both of us, plus Jarred and Deanan, know exactly how big a breakthrough this is. Graeme is working 24/7 to give us the best post tools possible. The Foundry is also involved. Big stuff.

From this thread: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=50483&page=9 I guess "thinking about everything" involves monitoring it while shooting :)
