  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy -Osee 15.6" Production Field Monitor

OK. The good news, my kit arrived late yesterday, I live in northern California. I'll be checking it out today if I feel up to it, picked up a bug.

The bad news, the vesa mount is missing. Chris who do I ping to get that resolved?

Thanks for setting up the group buy.

P.S. one other heads up, my monitor wasn't screwed into the case, just friction fitted. there are a bag of screws included, just a heads up.

A vesa plate is included, not the actual mount to mount it to a stand. Are you missing the plate?

Sorry my misunderstanding Chris, the plate is on the monitor, I'll order a mount.

One other note that may save somebody else a couple of minutes, the V-Mount doesn't work directly, you need to use the D-Tap cable. I didn't notice the cable in the case and it took me a couple of minutes to figure that out.

Hi All,

I received my Monitor yesterday, I just didn't realize it was in the box as i've been ordering a lot from Amazon and thought it was something else. I had never received a tracking number, so i thought it hadn't shipped yet. Looking forward to testing it on my setup. I hope we can all post some info on this unit to get the most out of it.

What kind of calibration did they perform in the factory?

Can someone please give me the link of the c stand mount that connects the back of the monitor, thanks need that asap!!!

does this work on a 17 inch panasonic studio monitor too? please let me know thanks!!!

Mine showed up but is AB mount instead of the V mount that i ordered. sigh

Received mine last night. Just playing with it now and it's works great! Threw a V mount on the back and rigged up the Eclipse 500, this is going to be a great wireless director's monitor for a shoot I have this weekend.

I can't seem to get the record tally light on the monitor to light up. I'm running SDI in and tried through the Eclipse 500 and straight plugged in. Anyone know if this should work?

Mine was supposed to arrive on Monday, but ups delivered it to my door right now. Shame I'm in Scotland, but at least I'm at the airport on my way back home;-) Really looking forward to this. My first proper monitor

got mine can't wait to test it out!!!

My monitor certainly looks great. I just hooked it up last night to see that it was working. I only tried from my laptop over hdmi.
I tried to turn on waveform, but I couldn't seem to make it work.

I had mine crap out on me in the middle of a shoot yesterday. First shoot with the Osee, V-mount power nor wall power would bring it back to life. Kyle has been great though and immediately got an RMA organized as I have another shoot in a few days. For the short time I had it working, it was great!

I got a chance to hook this up and do a quick side by side with my Flanders 2461 and the Osee other than being a touch brighter was quite close in Rec 709. Close enough that I didn't bother to futz with it. I was able to get the "scopes" to come up OK, but will miss the lack of a RGB parade. That said I think its a good value for the money. If anyone figures out how to turn off the model number display in red at the bottom of the screen let me know. I walked the menus and was unable to determine how to turn that off. All in all, looks like a good tool to have in the kit.
