GROUP BUY - Litepanels Gemini 2X1 and 1X1

Hi friends! I'm still taking orders but I'm in the EU traveling for work. So I'll send out the next round of payment emails when I get a bit of down time and find some wifi, thx!

Update: All payment info has been sent out. Please contact me if you've yet to place your order or have any additional questions about the process, thanks!

Back in the USA and the group buy has concluded! Thanks to everyone who made this another massive success. Thanks to my friends at Litepanels and Adorama for once again partnering here to give customers a deal they couldn't find anywhere else.

<3 you all. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to continue meeting or exceeding expectations here.

Thanks Travis. This was a nice deal and closer to what I thought the 1x1's should be selling for. Although I didn't go for the two light kit, that was absolutely a deal.

Adorama seemed to be much better prepared this time around. They must have had a stock-pile of fixtures in the warehouse. There was no waiting like with the 2x1's last summer. Ordered my two 1x1's Tuesday afternoon and they arrived Thursday, late morning. Won't really have a chance to play with them until I get back next week, though. Hopefully there won't be too big of a delay on the A/B battery plates, but everywhere you look, both mounts are back-ordered.

Yeah, we pre-ordered them this time. Though, to be fair to them last summer, they had no idea how popular it was going to be and Litepanels were back-ordered on several of the items as well. This time we learned a few things and attacked it differently, glad to hear it was a success! Litepanels and Adorama both did a great job of partnering on this one!

Appreciate the positive feedback!

Thanks for your work Travis

Got my lights. Didn’t get any accessories to fill out the kit. I know the battery plates are back ordered. Any word on when the actual kits roll in?

Really impressed by these by the way.

***** just got an email saying everything is back ordered. *****

Does anyone know if its possible to sync the gemini 2x1 panel with a kick drum? I did a brief search but could not find any information on it.

If I'd have to take a guess, you're going to want to do this via DMX. A lot of bands are using DMX to control their lighting setup.

Case for Gemini 1x1's

Case for Gemini 1x1's

If anyone out there ordered a pair of 1x1's outside of the kit like me and is looking for a good, inexpensive case for them, I found one.

I was originally just planning on using one of the PortaBrace bags that I've been using with one of my Astra sets(they list the measurements the same as the new bag they list specifically for the Gemini 1x1's), but decided I wanted a vertical load case with more protection, kind of like the LP branded case. I was on the verge of ordering the LP case, but wanted to look around at other options and luckily stumbled upon a pretty good one from Tenba. Now it's designed for and marketed for the SkyPanel S30, it works great with the 1x1 Gemini's. I just removed the center "smooth" divider* and moved the "soft" divider to right in the center and used the small divider that they designed to enclose the Arri ballast to one side of one of the panels and currently have the power cords in it, but as soon as the battery plates come in, I'll probably use it to keep the batteries separated from the panels. They fit perfectly front-to-back and top-to-bottom, with some space left side-to-side(plenty for power cords, etc.). The Tenba, at just over $190 is almost $100 less than the LP case.

They picture it with only one full width divider, but mine came with two.

Nice, so you have (2) 1x1 in here? Can you post a pic of the lights loaded?

Really great suggestion. Here's the case if anyone else is interested! Currently in stock.

Has anyone run into their Gemini 1X1 shutting off when running off battery power? I've been putting some AB 90WH digital batteries on the light, and it will randomly turn off. But when you take off the battery to put on the charger I'll see that it still has a charge.

Perhaps the 90wh don't provide enough voltage and I should be using bigger bricks for the light?

It will shut down if the battery can't keep up with the amperage draw. Running off my gold mount PAGLinks, each battery can output up to 10A. That's not enough for the Gemini beyond ~50% output for more than a few seconds (take the actual percentage with a pinch of salt as I haven't done any real testing to figure out the exact number). But when I link up two batteries, they can output 12A and from what I can tell that's enough for the Gemini at all output levels.

Just curious if anyone else has been waiting over a month for a v-mount battery mount? Basically my light has been deemed useless unless I have power avaliable which isn't very likely most the time since I shoot outdoors a lot.

a 90wh battery is not big enough for sustained use, the light is just too powerful... Try 150wh, they should work great.
Im thinking about adding the Core HELIX XL V-Mt batts just for the Geminis...looks like a perfect match. There is a group buy happening now and the Helix can be added at a slightly lower discount

LOL "deemed useless". It was stated up front that the battery plates would come later.
Everyone is backordered. Plug in a block battery if u must have off grid use...the battery plates are coming.
