  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy - Formatt-Hitech Firecrest ND Filters

Got mine in! Thanks again PH for setting this up and many many thanks to HotRod for working with me to get my sets quickly!
 
Received the first part of my filter order!! yay!!

Quick question: I had originally ordered a linear pola and then Hot Rod Camera let me know that is may erroneously polarize in the vertical position. Mine does exactly that. So, they're having me send it back. Should I just switch to a circular polarizer? What are most of you guys using? Linear or Circular? When is one better then the other?

I also paid for this last week (5 NDs), but I have yet to receive them and I've emailed Lisa and the group buy mail but there's no answer. I'm getting a bit worried what happened to the order since there's no answers?
 
I've had good communication with Hot Rod & Formatt. Lisa informed me that Formatt are shipping UPS tracking instead of regular mail due to some customer concerns.

I received my UPS tracking number yesterday, so my filters are on their way!
 
I received mine in Australia on Friday, (5 x Filters). UPS with a tracking number. Fast and no dramas. Thanks Phil and Lisa at Hotrod.

That's about right. Oddball stuff that wasn't part of the "OG stock", mainly screw-in sizes, will take a bit longer because they needed to make them.

As for the other outstanding orders, it's a holiday weekend and the "world" is closed. I'll hit up UK on Tuesday for filter status.

I fall into that group. They offered me the choice of waiting for everything to ship at once or ship what they have now and Formatt will drop ship the rest when ready, which is the route I went. I received the ND filters. Just waiting on the pola, grads and UV. All 95mm screw-in.

I am happy with their service. Thank you again for arranging Phil.
 
Order arrived here in Aus via UPS, was sent on the 29th of June, arrived on the 4th of July. No communication since the e-mail from Hotrod on the 18th of June that the filters would start going out the following week, but I wasn't asking for any info/dialogue either, so it's all good I guess.

Thanks again Phil for organizing the group buy and making sure it was a success.
 
Mine shipped via UPS on 30th June, and arrived here in Australia today. Very happy with service from Hotrod Cameras.

I'm still waiting, no respons from Hot Rod, Lisa said she would speak to them and see what's going on. Nothing. I'm hoping to hear something today, but I don't like this silence, not when payment has been made. At least a confirmation on the shipment would be good.
 
Phil, thanks for the heads up on emailing Lisa at HRC. They got me sorted with my order, shipped and received!
