  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Yes, the GB will be ONLY the next versions of the ReLamps. They haven't officially been released that's why I didn't have them in the post. This thread was to gauge interest in the ReLamp in general. I will be making an official GB thread after I test the 1K unit that Pete is sending me now.

Wooden Nickel is best place to do the comparison since they use Hexolux products in house and owner will personally validate with color meter etc!!
I would definitely trust his answer on comparison. I can call if you like. Do they have the ReLamp in their hands?
 
do you know if they make these for MOLE style lights? I have a mighty mole 2k I would love to convert.
 
Am interested, though the 50 unit minimum seems a bit of a stretch.

Are the Tungsten and Daylight versions counted separately, or could you have a mixture of them both making up 50 units of the one strength of light?

Didn't realize the GB was for the unreleased second version of the ReLamps, some more details on what that actually means would be needed before committing to an actual Group Buy.

I'd be interested in 1x2K though.

I could also be interested in either 3x650 or 3x1K (but not both), if either of those get over the 50 unit line (going 3x1K if both make the limit).
 
I own a 1K and 2K relamp daylight versions. These are fantastic. The light quality and color is very nice. I have them in Arri T1 and Arri2 with the original Arri Fresnel lens (I have not purchased the lenses from VisionSmith). I can use them along with my K5600 HMI's. They fit in very well with HMI's.

They were made for Moles first, the main one I want to convert is a Mole Baby 2.

If we get there we get there, if we don't we don't... Pete said 50 of each, I'm going to interoperate it as not being specific to color temp & hold him to it.

Do you have examples of work shot with them?
 
If you can't meet the 50 - talk to Wooden Nickel owner - maybe they want to join group buy also!!
And is this is brand new unit we would need to see the spec sheet - is it available yet?
I have liked the CRI of the 7" ~1K hexolux - just wished it had more watts ;) Hence interest in 2K relamp

Mike- I just asked Pete for this before I checked this thread. This GB will be for all the new versions of all of the ReLamps so I asked for info on all the new Relamps, models, specs, etc.
