  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

interested in 2K daylight 1x definitely but possibly 2x if good price
I notice they are currently back-ordered - when would they be available and what might the savings be?
 
I would be interested in 2k and larger depending on cost, as well as the lenses.
 
Have they updated the product to get rid of the warmer color ring around the light output?

The 2k daylight relamp LED is brighter than a 2k tungsten? For definite?
 
Maybe they could include their other products in the GB? I am interested in new lights that they manufacture?

They usually list CD for distance and spot size if you can get same info for say Mole 2K tungsten
Would be curious to see confirmation; sort of feel my 7" 1K tungsten hexolux could be more powerful ;)

Got a reply from Pete, here are the answers to the questions asked:

Will the new versions of the light be rid of the warmer color ring around the light output?
​Yes, if you use the new ReLamp Super Lens on the fixture.​


Are they flicker free at 1,000-2,000 fps?
​Yes.​


One question is whether the fan can be switched off (since these don't generate nearly as much heat)?

​The fan is 12db, basically silent, and has not been an issue yet. It makes less noise than a camera fan. The unit will run without a fan but it is about two stops less light. You can simply pull the fan connector, its about as easy as a switch, but its on the back of the unit.​

Any ETA on these? I have 4 Mole Seniors sitting around collecting dust that I would LOVE to convert over.
