  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY: Cinegears Wireless Follow Focus Christmas Special!

Deciding on the high torque or the standard.

Any difference in noise levels? Higher torque might be louder?

It is louder since the motor is a different size. In terms of how much...I haven't personally used it since I think the standard is plenty strong enough for most lenses. I'd only recommend the HT motor if you have really stiff or vintage (like really old) lenses.

For people with HUGE lenses/gear rings...Triple Thickness Gear - $60 option for RU's..normally $100. Available now and can be added to your order

Extra Large Focus Knob for those of you with meaty hands (Express controller ONLY) - $60 option for RU's..normally $100 - Available now and can be added to your order

Wireless Fingerwheel (roughly $500, not yet available, in January most likely) This is the aluminum casing.

If you happen to run into interference, then can you fine tune it by changing channels within the band?

The controller and motor can be paired automatically or manually, switchable wireless channels supports up to 40 channels to avoid interference, Wired control modes is also available for Multi Axis wireless follow focus kit.

Expensive for the finger wheel. Can it be added on a deal if we get it all as group BUY?

Can we add a second dtap power cable for gimbal owners? (always keep a backup of things like that)

Please upgrade me to a plus.

Standard or HT motor? Using Cooke mini s/4 as well as Canon K35. The cookes focus ring pressue is slight but the Canons have a slight amount of pressure. Not real stiff but some small effort needed. Standard motor OK? Thanks

Hi Gang,
Does anyone have experience or suggestions for powering the motor unit off something other than Dtap? In addition to running it with an Epic kit, I would be looking at pairing the FF with a 5D MK III RAW package that I use on some projects.

I looked at stats of LPE6s, but I believe they might only be 7v and the motor lists itself at requiring 12-28v.

Thanks in advance for your thought,
Ian

Just to be clear - is the GB for the full kit as shown in this image?

I'm sure I'll organize a group buy for the finger wheel. All extra accessories are discounted, so you can always add one to your order.

I've been powering it off of lipo batteries. Works like a charm.

Almost...everything is listed in the first post of the GB. If there's something you want...you can always add it at a discount.
